How long does the product last?

Jaw Filler lasts on average for 12-18 months, however there are many deciding factors when it comes to its longevity, them being- clients anatomy, metabolism, dose, placement, and product type.

Is there downtime?

Expect swelling and the chance of some bruising after treatment which may last up to one week.

It is possible to return to work the same day.

Is there any side effects/risks?

As there is with any medical procedure, jaw filler comes with some potential risks and side effects clients should consider before undergoing treatment. 

-Swelling

-Bruising

-Asymmetry 

-Textural irregularities

These risks are extremely rare but worth noting:

-Allergic reaction

-Necrosis

-Infection

-Necrosis

What do I need to know about aftercare?

-Avoid touching, rubbing, or physical pressure on the affected area

-Avoid high temperatures like steam rooms, saunas, or heated exercise classes for 48 hours after treatment. 

-Avoid makeup on the area for up to 24 hours after.

-Avoid blood thinners such as Ibuprofen and fish oil tablets.

To assist with bruising, Arnica tablets may be recommended. 

Does it hurt?

My Botique uses dermal filler that contains Lidocaine, a numbing agent that assists with decreasing discomfort during treatment. 

As jaw filler is performed via cannula there is only one entry point per side, making the risk of infection and pain a lot less.
